This time 3 years ago, everyone had my life planned out for me. But in that plan I lost the itinerary and started doing my own "thang". I learned the fine art of smoking marijuana, ways to lessen the burn of tequila shots, and how long a human can survive with 3-4 hours of sleep everyday of the week. And as for sex, lets just say I will never compete with that promiscuity again in my life.
And like all people who don't know what to do after the professors tell you "bitch please"...I told myself that I would go back home and enroll in the nearest and CHEAPEST community college. Lets just say that working two jobs and driving 30 minutes to class everyday of the week is NOT everyone's cup-o-tea.
So HERE I AM...the beginning of YEAR 4 and I'm suppose to be wrapping up that life plan that was handed to me in May of 2006. I took a glimpse into my friends life..or just Facebook..and I just couldn't understand how talentless people where becoming more successful than me?
AND THAT'S WHEN I REALIZED.....
COLLEGE...IS NOT......FOR...EVERYBODY!!!
Lets be real college is for the people who have the mentality and the patience to hold up that plan for the world up. Lawyers, doctors, astronauts, politicians, etc have the time and the money to sit in class year after year and read that damn book. As for the others we just plan to fuck up that itinerary for the world. Rappers, poets, singers, artists, etc dont have time to read that damn book...its too damn big and half the shit we taking notes on is NOT on the damn test. As far as we're concerned, you can't have too much instruction for creativity.
Although I would go back in time in a heartbeat and trade my fate with the plan I was handed..I just have to admit..yes I was in college...I just wasn't INTO college. A wise man once sang:
class dismissed
"I just wanna be, I just wanna be successful"....
